Polyethylene Wrap LLDPE HDPE Net wrap

Polyethylene wrap is a reliable method to protect your animal feed. So much time and energy to ensure that the stock is enough, it will be unfortunate if the excess feed is not stored correctly. Some farmers keep the leftover quality feed as it is without thinking more about the risk of humidity, disturbance from rodents, fungi, and toxins carried by other animals, vandalism of people around, and bad weather conditions.

You may have stored it in the warehouse in such a way. However, did you pay attention to the bottom surface where you put the leftover quality feed? The pallets that you put as a base for your feed will not help 100% until it will be used again. You should save the remaining feed with the polyethylene wrap method to prevent feed loss of nutrients and spoilage for a long time. You can also save excess straw and agricultural harvest by wrapping them with polyethylene. So, what exactly is polyethylene wrap?

The Multipurpose Plastic

Those of you who are new to polyethylene wrap may still doubt the use of plastic for wrapping bales. Manufacturers of net wrapper and film silage use polyethylene because it is light, versatile, strong, and durable. Polyethylene is a synthetic resin made from the polymerization process of ethylene.

This process combines the same monomer molecules, which may represent two or more different compounds. It’s about 100 monomer molecules combined to make a product with certain characteristics such as high tensile strength, elasticity, and a durable polymer.

All over the world recognize that polyethylene is a versatile plastic material widely used for various products such as food wrappers, detergent bottles, shopping bags, car fuel tanks, and bales wrappers. Polyethylene has several versions. The branched version is known as LDPE (low-density polyethylene), and the linear version is known as HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene).

Primary Polyethylene for Various Purposes

There are so many types of polyethylene. All are grouped by density, crystallization structure, and many more. Among them, there are the main polyethylene compounds which are usually mass-produced for a variety of needs ranging from household needs and industrial packaging to agriculture and animal husbandry.

  • LDPE. This low-density polyethylene has a polymer structure with long and short branches. It is a very flexible polyethylene molecule from clumping together in a hard and rigid crystalline arrangement. The melting point of LDPE is about 110 degrees Celsius or 230 degrees Fahrenheit. LDPE is widely used as cable and wire insulation, packaging film, household appliances, shopping bags, agricultural mulch, and squeeze bottles.
  • LLDPE. The linear low-density polyethylene structure is similar to that of LDPE. Its overall character is similar to LDPE. You can find LDPE plastic that is LLDPE or vice versa on the market.
  • HDPE. This high-density polyethylene has less branching in its structure so that the material forms a very strong crystalline solid with moderate stiffness. Its melting point is higher than LDPE, so HDPE is highly resistant to repeated exposure up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. That is why many construction films, home appliances, toys, and silage film manufacturers use HDPE plastic in their production processes.

Premium Protection for Fodders and Crops

Polyethylene wrap is feed and plant protection you can count on at any time. HDPE net wrap is the best plastic product to maintain your animal feed and straw. Net wrap manufacturers that focus on improving product quality will lead you to a new positive habit.

If previously you just left quality leftover feed and excessive agricultural produce in the barn, then now you will have neat and similar rolls of bales in the barn. Make sure you get a clean net wrapper that can provide the following benefits.

  • The polyethylene wrap covers the entire full feed from end to end. You won’t find scrolls where there is green material sticking out.
  • This is virgin polyethylene, where the mesh wrap is stable, easy to use, and of high quality.
  • This polyethylene wrap is also stable in resisting UV rays so that the contents are not damaged.
  • This premium net wrapping product is quite efficient with advanced techniques and safe materials and has been tested in the market.
  • Quality polyethylene wrap can be formed with any model and presents an attractive look so that your farm looks neater. With a neat roll, you will have no trouble during the distribution process.
