A cotton module is a season of work compressed into one bale, and it often sits at the field edge or the gin yard for weeks before it is processed. Everything that happens to the wrap in that window shows up later as grade, and grade is money.

The film is UV stabilised for extended outdoor storage, but a module should always be ginned as soon as the schedule allows. Wrap protects cotton, it does not improve it.
